Wreaths Laid at Statues and Cemeteries of Martyrs on V-Day

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid at the statues and cemeteries of martyrs, the Memorial Tower for the Fallen Soldiers of the Korean People's Army and graves of martyrs across the country on Friday, the 65th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Taking part in the wreath-laying ceremonies were officials of local party and power organs, working people's organizations, industrial establishments, farms and schools, men and officers of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, working people and school youth and children.

Placed were wreaths in the names of local party and power organs, working people's organizations, units of KPA and KPISF, industrial establishments, farms and schools as well as bouquets and flowers.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs.
