Minju Joson Accuses Japan of Trying to Grab Tok Island

Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the Japanese government gave an instruction to apply the revised teaching manuals, the keynote of which is to teach "Tok Island is part of Japan", to the teaching program for senior high school from 2019. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan had already gave instructions to reflect the "dominium over Tok Island" in the teaching program for senior high school in March this year. The then revised teaching manuals were to be applied from 2022. But, now the date of the application was advanced to 2019 from 2022. Commenting on the facts, Minju Joson Tuesday says: This clearly shows the desperate efforts the Japanese reactionaries are making to realize their ambition to grab Tok Island. Tok Island has always been part of the inviolable territory of Korea. Numerous are geographical, legal and historical data proving that Tok Island is part of Korea's territory, and there is no need to be argued about. What matters is that Japan aware of them persistently claims to Tok Island. Japan works hard to label the island as the "seized territory" to justify the move to grab it, which is of great strategic significance and rich in natural resources, and furthermore use it as the starting point of reinvasion. What should not be overlooked is the fact that the Japanese reactionaries are in hurry to imbue the new generations with the ambition for grabbing Tok Island and in this process the coercive nature is pronounced more clearly. If Japan launches into reinvasion of the inviolable territory of Korea, the Korean people will give vent to the pent-up resentment and grudge to retaliate against Japan, the sworn enemy, a thousand fold. |
