Korean Revolution Museum Marks 70th Founding Anniversary
Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- The Korean Revolution Museum commemorated its 70th founding anniversary.

The museum is the one and only revolutionary museum of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, which houses their revolutionary history and exploits and the grand seat and museum of national treasure for education in revolutionary traditions truly conducive to modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

Kim Il Sung founded the museum on Aug. 1, Juche 37 (1948) and visited it several times to ascertain the historical relics and brightly indicate the way ahead.

Kim Jong Il saw to it that a statue of Kim Il Sung was erected on Mansu Hill where the museum, a centre for education in revolutionary traditions, is located and led the work of the museum in each period and stage of the developing revolution.

The museum has discharged its duty in a responsible manner on the forefront of the education in revolutionary traditions for the past 7 decades.

The commemoration meeting was held Tuesday.

It was attended by Pak Kwang Ho, vice-chairman of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter Hwang Sun Hui, curator of the museum, and officials, lecturers and employees of the museum.
