On display at the exhibition were more than 1 000 inventions in the forms of products, models and diagrams.

During the exhibition there will be a practical workshop and a technological presentation to improve the social knowledge on the work for sharing intellectual products and intellectual property and a data service on valuable inventive technologies.

Present at the opening ceremony were Pak Thae Song, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Im Chol Ung, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Jang Chol, president of the State Academy of Sciences, officials concerned, officials of ministries and national institutions, scientists, technicians and inventors.

The exhibition will remain open till Aug. 13.
