It was attended by teachers, researchers and postgraduates in the field of basic science including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, University of Sciences and the State Academy of Sciences.

Presented to it, divided into panels of mathematics, physics, chemistry, laser, dynamics and geography, were more than 500 valuable papers.

During the presentation there were lectures showing successes and experience gained in the basic scientific researches conducive to rapidly developing science and technology of the country and putting the national economy on Juche, modern, IT and scientific basis.

Attending a closing ceremony held on Friday were Kye Hui Nam, vice-chairman of the C.C., the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea, officials concerned and the presenters.
