Publication Anniversary of Leader Kim Jong Il's Work Observed
Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Saturday dedicates an article to the 21st anniversary of the publication of leader Kim Jong Il's work "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification".

The work, published on August 4, Juche 86 (1997), deals with the exploits President Kim Il Sung performed for the cause of national reunification.

In the work the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo are formulated into the three charters of national reunification, and the tasks and ways for Korea's reunification are specified on this basis.

The work serves as a library specifying the most correct orientation and ways for accomplishing the cause of national reunification, the lifetime desire of the President, at any cost, and as a banner that inspires all Koreans to the patriotic struggle for bringing that desire into a reality, the article notes, and goes on:

Thanks to the energetic guidance of Kim Jong Il, there were two historic north-south summits and the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration were adopted to usher in a new era of national reunification, the main idea of which is By Our Nation Itself.

No matter how frequently the situation, conditions and environment change, there must be no change in the main principle of national reunification laid down by the great leaders.

Whoever loves the country and nation should boldly turn out in a just patriotic struggle for reunifying the country, no matter where he or she lives.

All Koreans in the north and the south and abroad should more vigorously wage a patriotic struggle for implementing the behests of the great leaders for national reunification and thus build a dignified and prospering reunified power on this land at any cost.
