Simeon Ignatov, president of the Central Council of the Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union, was elected as chairman of the preparatory committee.

It fixed a period from Aug. 1 to Sept. 9 for celebrating the anniversary and decided to organize political and cultural events such as celebration meeting, seminar and book and photo exhibition in the capital city and local areas in the period.
