Japanese Lawmaker's Rubbish against Chongryon under Fire
|

Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- A member of the House of Councilors of Japan from the Liberal Democratic Party, called Satsuki Katayama, in a recent evening paper of Sankei Shimbun, spouted a load of jargon justifying the Abe regime's hideously discriminative policy toward the national education of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon.) Over the fact that the Korean schools were excluded from the list of tuition-free program for senior high schools and the Japanese authorities' unreasonable act of seizing souvenirs of the Korean students who returned after visiting their homeland has been taken issue with by the UN Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, the guy said if the Koreans schools want support, "evidence proving the end of their unjust relations with north Korea is necessary", and the seizure of souvenirs "is just the execution of law but not discrimination." Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Monday says: The rubbish talked by Katayama, acting chairman of the Policy Research Council of the ruling LDP of Japan, doesn't reflect his individual opinion at all. This is just an illegal fascist violence to deprive the Koreans of their right to national education and stamp out the future of the Korean community in Japan as it is a vivid manifestation of chauvinism peculiar to Japan and its persistent anti-DPRK, anti-Chongryon policy. The moves of the Japanese reactionaries to justify their policy of discrimination and human rights abuses against the Koreans in Japan are no more than a last-ditch effort of those who have come under international criticism as they were prompted by the way of thinking of the pigmy politicians running wild in disregard of elementary human ethics and morality and international law. The Japanese reactionaries must be prudent, well aware of the towering anger of the Korean people at their ceaseless discrimination against the Korean schools and human rights abuses against Koreans in Japan. |
