During the championship, players selected from the Taekwon-Do team of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, the Taekwon-Do team of the Sunchon Cement Complex, Korea University of Physical Education, Central Sports School and juvenile Taekwon-Do schools of the Taekwon-Do teams in all provinces (municipality) will compete in Taekwon-do and Paduk events.

Present at the opening ceremony were Kim Chun Sik, secretary general of the National Sports Guidance Committee, officials concerned, players and coaches, and school youth and children in the city.

There was a demonstration by players of the Taekwon-Do Team of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee.
