Read out at the seminar was a keynote report of Peter Woods, co-chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea and co-chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu.

The report praised President Kim Il Sung for creating the myth of war victory with his unique military idea and superb strategy and tactics.

It said the tradition of victory established by the President had been steadily carried forward by Kim Jong Il, peerless Songun brilliant commander and that his august name would shine forever as he had reliably defended the dignity and sovereignty of the country and brought about one victory after another under the banner of Songun.

Speeches were made by more than 60 personages, including Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the C.C., People's Socialist Party of Mexico, Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, co-chairman of the Arab Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, and Fumihiro Himori, chairman of the Japan Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, who are co-chairpersons of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, Revedev, chief of the Russian Group for Solidarity with the DPRK, Juan Jose Leon Vega, first vice-chairman of the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification, Alejandro Cao de Benos, chairman of the Korean Friendship Association, and Manik Mukherjee, general secretary of the International Anti-Imperialism Coordinating Committee.

The speakers stressed that the Korean people's historic victory in the Fatherland Liberation War gave great strength and courage to the world progressive people struggling for national independence.

A letter to the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar.
