More than 1,000 inventions given certificate and patent were introduced and experience exchanged during the exhibition. They were made by scientists, technicians and workers throughout the country in their work for increased production.

Inventions conducive to putting the national economy on a Juche, modern, IT and scientific basis were praised.

The ceremony was attended by Pak Thae Song, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jang Chol, president of the State Academy of Sciences, officials concerned and officials of ministries and national institutions, scientists, technicians and inventors.

The results of general examination were announced.
