S. Korean Youths Accuse Japan of Going against Trend of Peace

Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration, the youth and students consultative council of the Japanese Regional Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration and other youth and student organizations held a rally in Seoul on August 11 criticizing the Japanese government for going against the atmosphere of peace on the Korean peninsula, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Tongil News.

Only Japan is swimming against the trend of peace and reunification created with the publication of the Panmunjom declaration, speakers said, and accused Japan of claiming its "dominium over Tok Island", disturbing peace of the Korean peninsula and failing to make an apology for its past crimes.

Saying that they would take the lead in the great nation-wide advance toward reunification, they called for boldly advancing toward a new era by clearing the deep-rooted evils caused by division with the concerted efforts of all Koreans.

A joint resolution released there stressed that they would stage a struggle for implementing the Panmunjom declaration and not pardon any forces obstructing it.
