Going round the Namyang Salt Works, Pak highlighted the need to step up the industrialized and intensive salt production from sea water and underground ultra-saline water and to increase production by realizing the comprehensive mechanization.

Inspecting the Posan Iron Works, Pak talked about increasing the number of operating days of a furnace, raising the quality of fire-proof material and improving the technical indices of equipment to put the Juche-based iron-making on a normal footing. He also underscored the need to satisfactorily provide good working and living conditions to the workers.

The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed the measures for proactively introducing advanced science and technology into production under the unfurled banner of self-reliance and scrupulously organizing coordinated operations among industrial establishments.
