Minju Joson Urges Japan to Make Apology and Reparation for Its History of Aggression
Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, a German arranged his father's mementos and returned an art piece hung on the wall of his house to the Polish embassy in Berlin. The art piece was plundered by his father, who had served as a Nazis officer from September 1939 to May 1940 in Poland, at the office of the principal of a school in this country.

Commenting on the fact, Minju Joson Saturday says that Japan suffered a defeat in a war like Germany which stood at the court of history but the former is walking along quite a different road from the latter, sparking off the rage of the world community.

The commentary goes on:

Japan is a heinous war criminal state which brought the lasting grudge to the Korean people and other Asian nations in the first half of the last century. But it is more impudently acting like "the guilty party filing the suit first", far from making an apology and reparation for its past history of aggression stained with blood up to now after its defeat.

Can it be true that the Japanese reactionaries are desperately evading the settlement of the past for a petty amount of money? They are ignoring the liquidation of the past and beautifying their history of aggression, seized with a horrible intention.

The Japanese reactionaries are preoccupied with the only dream of reviving the days when they had run amuck to invade the continent with fluttering sun flags in the past century. It is their intention to realize the old dream about the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" at any cost by reviving militarism in Japan.

It is as foolish an act as lifting an axe to drop on one's own foot to ignore the changed reality and repeat the past history of aggression.

It is the legal and moral duty of Japan and its inescapable destiny to make an apology and reparation without condition for its past history of aggression stained with blood.
