Builders said that wainscot made with pumice abundant in the county is quite lower than timber or expanded plastic wainscots in production cost and vivid in a sense of natural beauty.

Scientists of the Road Research Institute under the State Academy of Sciences made block, heat-insulating mortar and concrete with pumice to have been used in erecting walls of dwelling houses and public buildings.

They also succeeded in the researches on the rational structure of pavement with pumice as a ground tamping material to be introduced into road construction.
