In particular, Munchon City witnessed 502 mm of rainfall from 17:00 Thursday to 05:00 Friday, the heaviest one next to the maximum rainfall of 517 mm for 12 hours that hit Chongdan County, South Hwanghae Province on July 26, 2017.

Meanwhile, it rained 195 mm in Kumya County, South Hamgyong Province, 176 mm in Taegwan County, North Phyongan Province and over 100 mm in scores of other areas from 01:00 Thursday to 09:00 Friday.
