The International Friendship Exhibition House is the only gift exhibition house reflecting the sincerity of all people and the great treasure house of Juche Korea conveying long the great glory and pride of the era of the Workers' Party to posterity.

President Kim Il Sung made sure that the International Friendship Exhibition House was built in Mt Myohyang and then he personally came to the spot on August 26, Juche 67 (1978) to declare the exhibition house open. And the President visited it several times and gave important teachings to glorify generation after generation the pride that has come for the first time to the nation's history spanning 5 000 years.

Leader Kim Jong Il set up a regular work system of preserving and taking care of the precious gifts reflecting the dignity of Kim Il Sung's nation and clarified the principles to be maintained in the exhibition of gifts and their explanation and promotion. He also left the noble footprints of leadership to the House till the last moments of his noble life.

For the past 40 years the House has recorded the proud history along with the victorious advance of the Korean revolution, while remaining true to the noble mission of glorifying all over the world the personality of the leaders as the great men and the dignity of the country.

A meeting took place to mark the anniversary Saturday.
