Constantin Rotaru, chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania, was elected as chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the celebration period from Aug. 17 to Sept. 10 and decided to organize various political and cultural events to praise the exploits of the peerlessly great men and introduce the successes made by the service personnel and people of the DPRK in socialist construction in the period.
