MD. Harun-Ar-Rashid, chairman of the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee, was elected as chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to hold colorful political and cultural events including a meeting, film show and photo exhibition in praise of the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in founding and developing the DPRK and accomplishing the human cause of independence.
