The Youth Day is the eternal holiday of young Koreans which was provided by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, the editorial says, and goes on:

The history of the Korean youth movement is a proud history as it has always emerged victorious thanks to the great leaders' original idea of attaching importance to the youth and their energetic guidance.

In his early years President Kim Il Sung began his revolutionary activities with the youth work and opened up the path of the Korean revolution with the youth movement. Under his wise leadership, a new and proud history of the Juche-oriented youth movement started and our youth could grow up as passionate revolutionaries and perform distinguished feats in the building of a new country after the liberation and in the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War, the postwar reconstruction and socialist construction.

Leader Kim Jong Il glorified the immortal exploits of the President who put his heart and soul into the work with youth for all ages and made the history of our Party the history of attaching importance to the youth. He gave the torchlight of the revolution to the youth and developed the youth league into an organization of the leader shining with the august name of the sun and an organization of the Party.

Now the Korean youth movement is ushering in the greatest heyday of its development under the energetic guidance of the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

After deeply seeing through the realistic demand of the developing Juche-based youth movement and the unanimous desire of the young people, the Supreme Leader saw to it that the youth league went by the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League and gave the greatest glory and trust to it by personally awarding the flag of the Youth League.

It is the great pride and might of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people to have the great army of youth.

The editorial calls for vigorously working for the final victory in building a socialist powerful nation along the course of the Korean revolution sailing with the blizzards of Mt Paektu.
