Senior Party and Government Officials Congratulate Youth
Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- Youth and students across the DPRK enjoyed the Youth Day.

Senior officials of the party and government joined youth and students celebrating the Youth Day on Tuesday.

Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, and Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, visited Pyongyang Teacher Training College, the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill and the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex and congratulated youth and students on their holiday.

Pak Kwang Ho, Thae Jong Su, O Su Yong and other senior party and government officials and officials in Pyongyang and provinces spent the holiday together with youth and students at industrial establishments, farms and universities across the country.

The senior party and government officials placed floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, portraits of the smiling great leaders and mosaics depicting their images and paid respects.

After going round the revolutionary history museums, rooms for education in the revolutionary history, rooms dedicated to the history of the relevant units, production sites and other places, they encouraged exemplary youth and students taking the lead in the movement for increased production and in the drive for pushing back the frontiers of the latest science and technology.

They enjoyed art performances given by youth and students, and attended colorful events including sports and amusement games.
