DPRK Players Prove Successful at World Taekwon-Do Championships

| Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- DPRK players proved successful at the 13th World Junior and the 8th World Veteran Taekwon-Do Championships held in Belarus from Aug. 22 to 26. The junior championships brought together over 420 players from 38 countries and regions including the DPRK, Russia, Argentina and Kazakhstan. DPRK players bagged 21 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 4 bronze medals to come first in team standing. Hyon Mu Gang and Pak Ji Hyang were awarded individual technical prizes. The DPRK players came back home on Thursday. |
