Celebration meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Norway, Sweden and Mexico and a Korean book, photo, stamp and handicraft exhibition and Korean book-donating ceremony in Russia from Aug. 21 to 24.

On display at the event venues were photos dealing with the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were works of the peerlessly great men, books and photos introducing the successes made by the service personnel and people of the DPRK in the building of a powerful socialist country, stamps showing the history of the DPRK and handicrafts associated with the wisdom and talents of the Korean nation.

Screened at the film shows were Korean films such as "My Country Has Emerged Victorious by Dint of Single-minded Unity".

Speeches were made there.

The chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway said that the Korean people could become the proud master of the country for the first time in history as President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK.

The chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association said that the Korean people have accelerated the socialist construction upholding the banner of independence despite all difficulties and trials since the founding of the DPRK.

The chairman of the Mexico-Korea Friendship Association extended his warm greetings to the Korean people with the approach of the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Congratulatory messages to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Norway and Sweden.
