Probe into Truth behind Massacre of Koreans in Kanto Urged in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- A joint preparatory committee for commemorating the 95th anniversary of the massacre of Koreans in Kanto held a memorial service in Seoul on Aug. 30, according to the south Korean Internet newspaper Tongil News. Speakers recalled that the Japanese army, police and "ultra-right organization" brutally killed innocent Koreans in Kanto in pursuance of the Japanese authorities' policy of massacring Koreans. They deplored that the truth behind the massacre of Koreans in Kanto has not been clarified owing to the moves of the Japanese authorities. Statements were read out there. The statements urged the Japanese authorities to admit the responsibility for the massacre and make an apology and reparation to the victims. |
