New Teaching Methods Introduced
Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- A number of new teaching methods have been created by Pyongyang Teacher Training College.

Among new methods winning popularity is a reeducation method that shows teachers of provincial teacher training colleges and those of primary schools and kindergartens in Pyongyang how to use teaching aids in the educational environment they chose. The reeducation method also teaches how to test the IQ of children and others, so it comes to be helpful to cultivating discrimination of teachers and improving their qualification.

Methods of experiencing and controlling the mentality of schoolchildren were created to develop their thinking ability, imagination and mental capacity.

What draws attention is computer-aided robot-making, one of after-school lesson plans for schoolchildren.

The robot-making gives basic knowledge on robot to schoolchildren and helps develop their abilities like mathematical-modeling, space imagination and mathematical-reasoning.

The college has also developed programs which have been applied to the education at hundreds units.

Pak Kum Hui, rector of the college, told KCNA that on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of the college (September 1), its educators are full of determination to create more new teaching methods as required by the principles of socialist education and the developing educational science and technology.
