Celebrations, seminars, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Switzerland, Britain, Finland and Nigeria from Aug. 20 to 27.

Participants in the film shows watched Korean films.

The chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee said that President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK and thus the Korean people could become the full-fledged masters of an independent and sovereign state for the first time in history.

He noted that under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il the DPRK developed into an impregnable fortress with the socialist system centered on the popular masses and tremendous national power.

The chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy said that one of the factors that the DPRK has demonstrated victory and glory only for a long time since its foundation is the single-minded unity of the leader, the party and the masses.

Speakers at the event held in Finland referred to the 70-year long history of the DPRK, affirming that thanks to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un the Korean people are sure to build a prosperous powerful country.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Switzerland and Finland.
