The book carries 19 reminiscences telling the stories about the exploits President Kim Il Sung performed for the war victory and the transparent spirit of defending the leader unto death, matchless bravery, self-sacrificing spirit and ardent patriotism displayed by the service personnel and people of the DPRK.

Reminiscences entitled "'Kumhwa Offensive' defeated by Far-sighted Wisdom" tells about the wise leadership of the President who went to the dangerous frontline headquarters to set forth the operational policy and opened up a favorable phase for the final victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Another one entitled "Football Game Which Hastened War Victory" impressively tells the personality of the President as the great man who organized a football game of commanding officers of the Korean People's Army during the hard-fought war and personally took part in the game to instill certain conviction and optimism about victory into the hearts of all service personnel and people.

"By Force of One Squad", "By Dint of Mortars" and others tell about the feats of soldiers who bravely fought against the enemies by displaying mass heroism and self-sacrificing spirit.

The book also contains stories about anti-aircraft artillerymen and communications men who made contributions to the war victory and tells about the creation of wartime songs which gave confidence and optimism about the war victory to the service personnel and people in the rear.
