The general secretary of the Workers' Party for the Independence of Senegal was elected chairperson of the preparatory committee.

The committee set a celebration period from August 28 to September 20 and decided to hold various political and cultural events to praise the immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who led the DPRK to a road of victory and glory and to introduce the true picture of Juche Korea which has leapt day by day in the period.
