The bulletin elaborated on the facts that the DPRK was founded through all-Korea general elections after the liberation under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and turned into a socialist country, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence after the war, and on the exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il who performed for the development of the DPRK.

It noted that the Korean people have achieved great successes in their drive for carrying out the decision of the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, united close around Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

It said that the relations between the north and the south entered a new development stage and a new era for improving the DPRK-U.S. relations was opened in the wake of the two rounds of north-south summit meeting and the DPRK-U.S. summit meeting in Singapore and a favorable atmosphere was created for peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and the region.

It hoped that the Korean people holding Kim Jong Un in high esteem would surely win a victory in building a powerful socialist country and accomplishing national reunification.
