Attending there were Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and officials and members of the union.

At the celebration meeting, a reporter and speakers said that the founding of the DPRK was the birth of the people's power of Juche type for the first time in the history of building a state in the era of independence and a national great event which brought about a turn in carving out the destiny of the people.

They highly praised the great leaders for strengthening the DPRK into the representative of the independent right of the popular masses, organizer of their creative capacity and activity, master responsible for the livelihood of the people and defender of their interests.

They called for displaying the heroic mettle of the Korean women in the great advance for economic construction to win the final victory in building a powerful socialist country upholding with loyalty the idea and guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who is ushering in a fresh heyday in turning the DPRK into a powerful and prosperous country.

At the end of the meeting, the dancing party started amid the playing of "Song of the Proclamation of the People's Republic".
