| Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Valentina Matvienko, chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, arrived here on Friday to paid an official visit to the DPRK and take part in events for celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK at the invitation of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK. She and her party were greeted by Ri Su Yong, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Hye Jong, vice-chairwoman of the SPA and president of the Academy of Social Sciences, Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, officials concerned, Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy at Pyongyang International Airport. Pyongyangites welcomed the chairwoman and her party. |
