Reception Given for Syrian Party and Government Delegation

| Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea hosted a reception at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Friday evening in welcome of the party and government delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic on a visit to the DPRK to take part in the celebrations for the 70th birthday of the DPRK. Invited there were members of the party and government delegation of Syria led by Hilal Al Hilal, deputy regional secretary of the Syria's Baath Arab Socialist Party, and Tammam Sulaiman, Syrian ambassador to the DPRK. Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK; Ri Il Hwan, department director of the C.C., WPK; Kim Yong Jae, minister of External Economic Relations who is chairman of the DPRK-Syria Friendship Association; and officials concerned. Speeches were made there. |
