The letter said that the delegates from the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, organisations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and international democratic organisations had the international joint meeting for celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

HE Kim Il Sung and HE Kim Jong Il built the DPRK into a powerful country independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence by applying the Juche idea and laid the eternal groundwork for the country's prosperity, and thus they are remembered for ever as eternal leaders of the Korean people, the letter stressed.

HE Kim Jong Un has raised the status of the DPRK to be a globally-recognized power, and he is promoting peace, prosperity and security of the Korean peninsula and the world and so the international community unanimously praises him as an outstanding statesman, it said.

Now the world progressives warmly welcome a new era of peace, prosperity and reunification on the Korean peninsula and celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK, the letter pointed out.

The Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, organisations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and international democratic organisations will conduct more brisk activities in support of the just cause of the Korean people, keeping in close touch with the progressive peoples of the world, the letter noted.
