The message extended warm congratulations and sincere wishes to Kim Jong Un, and through him to the WPK and the government and people of the DPRK on behalf of the CPC and the Chinese government and people and on his own behalf on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

It noted that the Korean people have made the clear success in the cause of the socialist revolution and construction for the seventy years since the founding of the DPRK.

It pointed out that in recent years Kim Jong Un has made important successes by leading the Korean party and people and taking a series of positive measures in the spheres such as the economic and social development, and the Korean socialist cause has entered the fresh stage of the historic development.

I am sincerely pleased over this, the message said, and went on:

China and Korea are the friendly neighboring countries linked by the same mountain and rivers.

The traditional China-DPRK friendship is the precious asset common to both sides that was personally provided and cultivated with care by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries.

The party and government of China are giving high priority to the friendly and cooperative relations between China and the DPRK and it is the unshakable policy of the Chinese party and government to successfully defend, cement and develop the bilateral relations.

This year I made clearer the orientation of the development of the relations between the two countries through meeting you three times.

I have a willingness to promote the prolonged, sound and stable development of the China-DPRK relations together with you and thus bring more wellbeing to the two countries and their peoples and promote the regional peace and stability.

I sincerely wish the Korean people bigger success in the development of the state and the cause of construction under the guidance of the WPK headed by you.

I wholeheartedly wish for the prosperity of the DPRK and happiness and well-being of the people.
