Invited to the reception were Wang Yang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China who is the chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Kong Xuanyou, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Xu Luping, deputy head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, Gao Yan, vice-minister of Commerce, officials concerned and diplomatic envoys of various countries in Beijing.

Attending the reception were Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, and members of his embassy.

Ji Jae Ryong referred to the fact that President Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK after liberation and made it shine before the world as heroic Korea, Chollima Korea, saying that today the Korean people are splendidly celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK with great joy and pleasure.

He stressed that Chairman Kim Jong Il defended the dignity and sovereignty of the nation and socialism true to the desire of Kim Il Sung for building a prosperous country and performed the immortal exploits for the country and people and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has put the power of the DPRK on a fresh stage.

He said that the DPRK would make efforts to further develop the DPRK-China friendship together with comrades of China.

Wang Yang said that the Korean people have registered big successes in socialist construction over the past seventy years under the guidance of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un.

He sincerely wished the Korean people more fresh and big success under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by Kim Jong Un.

He stressed that the party and government of China are giving priority to the China-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations and it is their firm policy to successfully defend and cement and develop the bilateral relations.
