Chinese Party and Government Delegation Here

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- The party and government delegation of the People's Republic of China led by Li Zhanshu, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, arrived in Pyongyang Saturday as a special envoy of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China (PRC) to take part in the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK.

Warmly greeting the delegation were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Yo Jong, alternate member of the Political Bureau and first vice-department director of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Song Nam, first vice-department director of the WPK Central Committee, Ri Kil Song, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, officials concerned and Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials.

A woman worker presented a bouquet to special envoy Li Zhanshu.

Citizens of the capital warmly welcomed the friendship mission of the Chinese people, shaking flags of the two countries and bouquets.

The party and government delegation of the PRC was kindly greeted by officials of the WPK Central Committee and employees of the Paekhwawon State Guesthouse, its lodging quarters.
