Kim Yong Nam Meets Chinese Party and Government Delegation

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, met and had a talk with the Chinese party and government delegation led by Li Zhanshu, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China who is a special envoy of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the C.C., CPC and president of the PRC, when the delegation paid a courtesy call on him at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on Saturday.

Kim Yong Nam referred to the fact that the DPRK-China friendship is being developed at a fresh high stage thanks to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's historic three visits to China, expressing the will to cement and develop the traditional DPRK-China friendship generation after generation.

Li Zhanshu made mention of the stance of the party and government of China to invariably strengthen and develop the China-Korea friendly relations with the feelings of friendship toward the Korean people, expressing thanks to the cordial hospitality given by the Korean party, government and people on his first visit to the beautiful and friendly country, Korea.
