Present there on invitation were Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, and his embassy officials.

On hand were Wang Qishan, vice-president of China; Li Xiaolin, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; and officials concerned of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry, the Ministry of Commerce, etc.

Li Xiaolin in the speech referred to the historic significance of the foundation of the DPRK, adding that he was confident that the Korean people would continue registering fresh achievements under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea which is holding Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in high esteem.

He said that the deep friendship between the two parties and the two peoples provided by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries during the protracted revolutionary struggle and socialist construction serves as precious wealth.

He expressed the willingness to sincerely implement with the Korean comrades the important common understanding achieved by the top leaders of the two countries, intensify the strategic communication and deepen the traditional friendship so as to achieve the greater development in the bilateral relations in the new situation and provide the people with wellbeing.

Ji Jae Ryong mentioned feats of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in founding and strengthening the DPRK and the facts that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un remarkably boosted the power of the country true to the desire of the great leaders and firmly defended peace on the Korean peninsula and in the rest of the world.

He also said that the Korean people are turning out as one in the campaign for implementing the five-year strategy for national economic development to make a leap forward and innovations.

He expressed the will to make efforts hand in hand with Chinese comrades to further develop the DPRK-China friendly ties at a new high level under the deep care of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and President Xi Jinping as required by the times.
