A degree of honorary doctor in architecture was conferred on Pierre Atepa Goudiaby, honorary chairman of the African Union of Architects and president of the "Atepa" Technology Group of Senegal who contributed to the development of friendly relations between the DPRK and African countries including Senegal through cooperation in architectural designing, and a master's degree in socio-political science on Vitali Revedev, chief of the Russian Group for Solidarity with the DPRK who made contribution to giving wide publicity to the single-minded unity of the Korean people closely rallied around the Workers' Party of Korea.

The awarding ceremonies took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Sep. 11 and 13.
