The message extended warm congratulations to the heroic and dignified people of the DPRK on behalf of the government and people of Venezuela and on the president's behalf on the occasion of the 70th birthday of the DPRK.

The foundation of the DPRK was an event meaning the start of the building of an independent and sovereign state of the people's power type and the socialist construction, it said, adding:

I am deeply moved by the fact that every year the DPRK people pay high tribute to the great leaders who won a great victory by founding an independent state, whose goal is to serve the people and build an economic foundation for the prosperity and happiness of the people, and to the martyrs of the country.

I take this opportunity to put stress on the excellent political ties between the two countries which are developing while promoting the effective cooperation in the interests of the two peoples.

The two countries have a common goal to achieve the global peace and stability and promote friendship and harmony among countries on the basis of respecting the international laws, sovereignty and the right to self-determination of peoples.

In this context, we will continue to work together for the consolidation of a multi-polarized world free from the imperialists' hegemonism.

The liberator Simon Bolivar just named this struggle "Balance of the World", and our eternal Commander Hugo Chavez, too, waged a strenuous struggle to realize it.

Today we clearly recall the sentence "The whole course of historical development shows that mankind is confidently marching ahead along the road of peace, socialism and national independence, and that imperialism is falling into an abyss of total ruin." in the report made by the great leader HE Kim Il Sung, an anti-imperialist fighter, at the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the DPRK.

On this glorious day, symbolic of victory and dignity, I pay the highest tribute to you.
