Book "State Symbols of DPRK" Published in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- The Academy of Social Sciences in the DPRK compiled the new book "State Symbols of DPRK". In this regard, Kong Myong Song, a director of the academy, told KCNA: It is the first time in the DPRK that the book comprehensively dealing with the symbols of the state, including name of the country, national flag, national emblem, national flower, national tree, national bird, national dog and national liquor, was brought out. The book consists of ten chapters and appendix. "Chapter 1 Name of State", "Chapter 2 National Emblem of the DPRK", "Chapter 3 National Flag of the DPRK", "Chapter 4 National Anthem of the DPRK" and "Chapter 5 Native Language of the DPRK" set out the general knowledge of each state symbol as well as the energetic guidance given by President Kim Il Sung in deciding on state symbols and immortal leadership feats performed by Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in preserving and glorifying them. "Chapter 6 National Flower of the DPRK", "Chapter 7 National Tree of the DPRK", "Chapter 8 National Bird of the DPRK", "Chapter 9 National Dog of the DPRK" and "Chapter 10 National Liquor of the DPRK" give detailed account of the feats of the peerlessly great men, who set magnolia, pine tree, goshawk, Phungsan dog and Pyongyang liquor as symbols of the country, and general knowledge of each state symbol together with the international standard of institution and realities, etc. The book is worthy of national treasure for carrying rich information helpful to understanding the advantage and originality of the state symbols. It was published by the Industrial Publishing House. |
