The fund is an independent organization to be conducive to preventing and stamping out diseases in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health in TB and malaria control plans.

It consists of the board of directors, secretariat, branches, etc.

Its mission is to render enough material, technical and financial aids to public health establishments in the field of TB and malaria control by relying on individual donators and organizations at home and abroad and nongovernmental organizations.

The fund is now pushing forward such projects as ensuring medicines for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of TB and malaria, improving medical service, elevating the technical qualification of medical workers in the field of TB and malaria control and cooperating with them in their scientific researches.

Hong Sung Il, president of the fund, told KCNA that the fund will strengthen its activities to completely eradicate TB and malaria through positive domestic and foreign support and cooperation.
