The conference on the theme of "Integration of education and scientific research and production" heard one hundred and dozens of scientific and technological papers conducive to developing science and education of the world.

An opening ceremony was held at the Sci-Tech Complex on Wednesday.

Present there were Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Hong So Hon, president of Kim Chaek University of Technology, officials, teachers and researchers of the university, Kirill S. Golokhvast, vice-president of the Far Eastern State University of Russia, Wang Xunlian, vice-president of China University of Geosciences, and other delegations and delegates from universities, scientific research institutions and organizations of various countries, overseas Korean scholars and a delegation of Korean University under the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

The president of Kim Chaek University of Technology said in an opening address that the participants in the conference would exchange scientific and technological successes and experience conducive to developing science and education and deepen mutual ties.

The chairman of the Education Commission in a congratulatory speech affirmed that the conference, a contributor to the scientific and technological development of various countries, would bear a good fruit by the efforts of the participants.

The vice-president of China University of Geosciences in a congratulatory speech warmly congratulated the teachers and students of Kim Chaek University of Technology on its 70th founding anniversary.

The conference was held at the e-library of Kim Chaek University of Technology, divided into panels of earth sciences and mining, metal and materials, machine and energy science, etc.

The conference closed on Thursday.

During the conference Kim Chaek University of Technology gave a reception for the participants.
