The Supreme Leader's idea that science and education are the groundwork for state building is the most just idea based on his in-depth study into the current development trend of the era of the knowledge-based economy and the urgent requirement of the Korean revolution which has been put on a fresh high level.

The present age is the age of science and technology and knowledge-based economy. Science and education, being the groundwork for socio-economic development and the state development, are decisive of the development.

It is not the first time that the issue of attaching importance to science and education is top on the agenda. The WPK set it as an important line for building a prosperous country to prioritize science and education long ago, and has wisely guided the work for doing so.

Today the Korean revolution which has entered a new high phase of its development urgently calls for putting the sci-tech power and education level firmly on a world-class level on the basis of the achievements already made. Only when a revolutionary turn is made in the work of science and education, our own sci-tech power and the creative power of the popular masses can be remarkably augmented to resolutely foil the hostile forces' moves to stifle the DPRK, further accelerate the advancing speed of the Korean revolution and dynamically step up the building of a prosperous powerful nation.

All officials, party members and working people, bearing deep in mind the intention of the Party to hasten the final victory of the building of a powerful socialist nation by making a revolutionary turn in the work of science and education, should turn out as one with a single mind in the struggle for putting the sci-tech power of the country and quality of education definitely on a world-class level.
