Expressing pleasure at joining the Korean people in celebrating the 70th birthday of the DPRK, the chairperson of the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification who is vice-minister of Higher Education, said:

The friendly relations between Cuba and the DPRK were provided and carried forward by Comrades Fidel Castro Ruz and Raul Castro Ruz and Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great leaders, and they are now invariably being carried forward by Comrade Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

This was a key factor that propelled the peoples of the two countries into the untiring struggle for achieving independence, progress and unity, advancing socialist construction and opposing imperialism.

We will fully support and encourage the Korean people in their efforts to reunify the country without fail.

A vice-chairman of the Commission for Propaganda and Training Affairs of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party hoped that the Korean party, government and people would make more fresh achievements in building socialism of Juche.
