S. Korea: Ruling Party Calls for Implementing Pyongyang Joint Declaration

Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- According to news reports of south Korea, the parliamentary spokesperson for the ruling Minju Party of south Korea on September 20 called upon the opposition parties to actively come out to the ratification of the April 27 Panmunjom declaration at the "National Assembly" and the implementation of the "September Pyongyang Joint Declaration".

The spokesperson said that the opposition parties should join the historic trend of peace of the Korean peninsula free from the political strife in the Cold War era.

The spokesperson said that the "National Assembly" should work hard to make the Pyongyang summit talks bear fruits, noting that peace on the Korean peninsula could not be realized for 10 years and the south-north relations worsened under the former conservative "governments".
