Laid before the portrait of the late were wreaths in the names of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of External Economic Relations, the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and the General Bureau for Affairs with Diplomatic Corps.

Present there were Kim Yong Dae, vice-president of the SPA Presidium, Choe Hui Chol, vice foreign minister, Ri Myong San, vice-minister of External Economic Relations, Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and chairman of the DPRK-Vietnam Friendship Association, Mun Jae Chol, vice-director general of the General Bureau for Affairs with Diplomatic Corps, and officials concerned.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the deceased and made entries in a condolence book.
