DPRK Birthday Marked at Its Missions Abroad
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Celebrations were held in DPRK missions abroad from August 31 to September 8 to mark its 70th founding anniversary.

Book and photo exhibitions and receptions were held in the DPRK missions in Belarus, France, Germany, Romania, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Sweden, Poland, Spain, Italy, Guinea, Nigeria, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, DR Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia and Senegal.

Invited to the events were personages of governments, political parties, bodies, organs and international organizations and diplomatic envoys in those countries and present there were officials of DPRK missions.

The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus said that the long history of the DPRK is the history of the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the great leaders of the Korean people.

The general secretary of the Revolutionary Communist Party of France said that the struggle of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people to safeguard the sovereignty and dignity of the country stimulates them to greater efforts and wished the Korean people greater successes under guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

A minister in the Presidency of Uganda congratulated the Korean people on their great successes in the building of a powerful socialist country for a long time on the occasion of the meaningful and auspicious day marking the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

An ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Equatorial Guinea said that the DPRK is winning victory in the struggle to defend sovereignty under guidance of HE Kim Jong Un.

Meanwhile, Korean cultural exhibitions took place in China, photo exhibitions in Germany and Senegal and film shows at several units of Mongolia, Thailand, Singapore, Guinea, Nigeria and Algeria from August 30 to September 20.
