Present there on invitation were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture, officials concerned, diplomatic envoys of different countries and representatives of international bodies and military attaches here.

The ambassador said in his speech that he was pleased that the Korean people are making great achievements in accomplishing the cause of socialist construction in single-minded unity under the leadership of the WPK headed by Chairman Kim Jong Un.

He recalled that Li Zhanshu led the Chinese party and government delegation to attend the celebrations for the 70th birthday of the DPRK, as special envoy of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, president of the People's Republic of China (PRC), thus demonstrating once again the invincibility of the China-DPRK friendship to the whole world.

He affirmed that the Chinese party and government's firm stand to boost the China-DPRK relations, the Chinese people's friendly feelings toward the Korean people and China's support for socialist Korea would not change no matter how the international and regional situation may change.

Choe Ryong Hae said the Chinese people are registering signal achievements in their efforts to realize the dream of China under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping.

He stressed that the three visits to China by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un this year offered important occasions for pushing the DPRK-China relations onto a new high stage and making them advance with dynamics.

He affirmed that the DPRK will usher in a new golden age of the DPRK-China friendship in the spirit of an agreement made by the top leaders of the two countries, together with the Chinese comrades in the future.

Earlier, the Chinese consul general in Chongjin hosted a reception.
