Attending the event were Ri Ryong Nam, vice-premier of the Cabinet; Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture who is chairman of the festival organizing committee; officials concerned, creators and artistes in the film sector, Pyongyangites, foreign delegations and delegates and the international jury.

Present on invitation were diplomatic envoys of different countries and representatives of international bodies here, military attaches, foreign embassy officials and foreigners staying here.

At the ceremony, the festival films were introduced to be followed by the announcement of jury results.

The top film prize was awarded to the Chinese feature film "The Woman behind the Man".

Adopted there was the participants' letter to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Pak Chun Nam in his closing address said the festival contributed to the world film development, noting that the festival films gave a deep impression on the audience.

He expressed the belief that the participants would produce more good films on the basis of the successes and experience gained in the festival, thus enriching the moral and cultural assets of mankind and contributing to further developing the festival into the world's famous one.
